 | ADVANTAGES: Complete immobilization of the middle knuckle of the thumb.
Prevents radial and dorsoradial deviation and hyperextension, reduces stress
to the inner and palmer sides of the thumb joint. Allows full movement of
the wrist, and does not interfere with grip activities. |
| INDICATIONS: New injury to the ulnar ligament, injury to the volar
plate, synovitis or arthritis protection of an old injury to the ulnar
ligament. |
| PRECAUTIONS: This or any other splint cannot completely prevent all
injuries. |
| APPLICATION CONSIDERATIONS: This splint can be partially remolded to the
shape of the thumb with only hot water or heat gun and can be trimmed with a
strong pair of scissors. |

Measure the thumb circumference and specify right or left.
